अथर्ववेद (कांड 19)

अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 15
अभ॑यं नः करत्य॒न्तरि॑क्ष॒मभ॑यं॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी उ॒भे इ॒मे । अभ॑यं प॒श्चादभ॑यं पु॒रस्ता॑दुत्त॒राद॑ध॒रादभ॑यं नो अस्तु ॥ (५)
अंतरिक्ष अर्थात्‌ मध्यमलोक हमें अभय प्रदान करे. ये दोनों द्यावा और पृथ्वी हमें अभय प्रदान करें. पीछे से, आगे से, ऊपर से तथा नीचे से हमें अभय प्राप्त हो. (५)
May space, that is, the middle world, give us protection. May these two dyavas and the earth give us protection. We should get protection from the back, from the front, from the top and from the bottom. (5)
