अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 30
यत्सु॑प॒र्णा वि॑व॒क्षवो॑ अनमी॒वा वि॑व॒क्षवः॑ । तत्र॑ मे गछता॒द्धवं॑ श॒ल्य इ॑व॒ कुल्म॑लं॒ यथा॑ ॥ (३)
शोभन पंखों वाले कबूतर आदि पक्षी जो स्त्री विषयक बात कहने के इच्छुक होते हैं, रोग रहित कामीजन भी वही बात कहना चाहते हैं. उस विषय में किया जाता हुआ मेरा आह्वान उस कामिनी के लिए मैल भरे बाण के समान हो. अर्थात्‌ वह मेरी बात सुन कर मेरे वश में हो जाए. (३)
