स्तोत्रों को सुन कर सुंदर ठोढी वाले इन्द्र प्रसन्न होते हैं और शत्रुओं के नगरों का विनाश कर देते हैं. इस बात को कौन नहीं जानता है कि सोम के तैयार होने पर इंद्र कौन सा वैभव धारण करते हैं. (१)
Hearing the hymns, Indra, who has a beautiful chin, is pleased and destroys the cities of enemies. Who does not know what glory Indra holds when Som is ready? (1)
दा॒ना मृ॒गो न वा॑र॒णः पु॑रु॒त्रा च॒रथं॑ दधे । नकि॑ष्ट्वा॒ नि य॑म॒दा सु॒ते ग॑मो म॒हाँश्च॑र॒स्योज॑सा ॥ (२)
हे इंद्र! रथ में बैठ कर तुम हर्षित मृग के समान अनेक प्रकार से गमन करते हो. तुम्हारे गमन को रोकने में कोई भी समर्थ नहीं है. तुम अपनी शक्ति के कारण महान हो. हमारे द्वारा सोमरस तैयार किए जाने पर तुम यहां आओ. (२)
O Indra! Sitting in a chariot, you travel in many ways like a joyful antelope. No one is able to stop your movement. You are great because of your power. You come here when we prepare Somers. (2)
शत्रु जिन की हिंसा नहीं कर पाते, वे युद्धभूमि में डटे रहते हैं. जिस प्रकार पति पत्नी के पास जाता है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र हमारे आह्वान को सुन कर इस यज्ञ में आएंगे. (३)
Enemies whose violence is unable to do remain in the battlefield. Just as the husband goes to the wife, in the same way Indra will listen to our call and come to this yagna. (3)
