मैं ऐसे इंद्र को अपने यज्ञ में बुलाता हूं जो शक्तिशाली, वज्र धारण करने वाले, युद्धों में आगे रहने वाले, उग्र, बल धारक एवं स्तुति के योग्य हैं, वे इंद्र हमारे धन प्राप्ति के मार्गो को सुंदर बनाएं. (१)
I call such Indra in my yajna, who is powerful, vajra-wearing, ahead of wars, fierce, strong and worthy of praise, may that Indra make our paths of wealth beautiful. (1)
या इ॑न्द्र॒ भुज॒ आभ॑रः॒ स्वर्वाँ॒ असु॑रेभ्यः । स्तो॒तार॒मिन्म॑घवन्नस्य वर्धय॒ ये च॒ त्वे वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषः ॥ (२)
हे इंद्र! तुम स्वर्ग के स्वामी हो. तुम राक्षसों का वध करने के लिए अपनी जिन भुजाओं को उठाते हो, उन्हीं भुजाओं के द्वारा यजमान और स्तोता की वृद्धि करो. जो ऋत्विज् तुम्हारे प्रति श्रद्धा परायण है, तुम उसी को बढ़ाओ. (२)
O Indra! You are the master of heaven. Increase the host and the host with the same arms that you raise to kill demons. Increase the faith that is devoted to you. (2)
