हे स्तोताओ! वाणी तुम्हारी मित्र है. उस का दोहन करो तथा जो इंद्र शत्रुओं को क्षीण करते हैं, उन्हें बुलाओ. जो सोमरस धन से युक्त कोष के समान शुद्ध है, उसे इंद्र के लिए तैयार करो. (२)
O stotao! Speech is your friend. Exploit him and call those who weaken indra enemies. Prepare the somerasa which is as pure as the treasure containing wealth for Indra. (2)
हे इंद्र! तुम भोक्ता हो. तुम शत्रुओं को क्षीण कर देते हो. तुम मुझे क्षीण मत करना. तुम मुझे धन प्राप्त करने वाला सौभाग्य दो. मेरी बुद्धि कर्मों की ओर अग्रसर हो. (३)
O Indra! You are a consumer. You weaken your enemies. Don't you undermine me. You give me the privilege of getting money. May my intellect move towards deeds. (3)
हे इंद्र! मेरे पुरुष तुम्हीं को बुलाते हैं. जो वीर तुम्हारी मित्रता की कामना करते हैं तथा हवि वाला अनुष्ठान करते हैं, वे सोमरस का संस्कार भी करते हैं. (४)
O Indra! My men call you. The heroes who wish for your friendship and perform the ritual of havi also perform the rites of Someras. (4)
धनं॒ न स्प॒न्द्रं ब॑हु॒लं यो अ॑स्मै ती॒व्रान्त्सोमाँ॑ आसु॒नोति॒ प्रय॑स्वान् । तस्मै॒ शत्रू॑न्त्सु॒तुका॑न्प्रा॒तरह्नो॒ नि स्वष्ट्रा॑न्यु॒वति॒ हन्ति॑ वृ॒त्रम् ॥ (५)
हवि धारण करने वाला जो पुरुष इंद्र के निमित्त सोमरस का संस्कार नहीं करता, उस का धन सरकता जाता है. इंद्र उसे अपने शत्रुओं में सम्मिलित कर के उस पर वज्र का प्रहार करते हैं. (५)
The man who wears havi, who does not perform the rites of Someras for Indra, his wealth moves. Indra includes him in his enemies and strikes him with a thunderbolt. (5)
जो इंद्र हमारी इच्छाओं को पूर्ण करने वाले हैं, जिन इंद्र की हम प्रशंसा करते हैं, उन इंद्र के समीप आते ही शत्रु भयभीत हो जाते हैं. संसार के सभी प्राणी इंद्र को नमस्कार करते हैं. (६)
The Indra who is going to fulfill our desires, the Indra whom we admire, the enemies become frightened as soon as they come close to Indra. All the creatures of the world salute Indra. (6)
हे इंद्र! तुम अपने उग्र वज्र से पास के अथवा दूर के शत्रु को व्यथित करो. तुम हम को अन्न वाली बुद्धि प्रदान करते हुए अन्न तथा पशुओं से पूर्ण धन में प्रतिष्ठित करो. (७)
O Indra! You should disturb the near or distant enemy with your fierce thunderbolt. You give us food-rich intelligence and establish us with food and animals in complete wealth. (7)
जिन इंद्र के समीप तीव्र स्वाद वाला सोमरस गमन करता है, वे इंद्र धन की बाधक रस्सी को रोकते हैं तथा सोम का संस्कार करने वाले स्तोता को असीमित धन प्रदान करते हैं. (८)
Indra, near whom the intensely flavoured Someras travels, stops the obstacle rope of Indra wealth and gives unlimited wealth to the stota who performs the rites of Soma. (8)
