अथर्ववेद (कांड 7)
तृष्टि॑के॒ तृष्ट॑वन्दन॒ उद॒मूं छि॑न्धि तृष्टिके । यथा॑ कृ॒तद्वि॒ष्टासो॒ऽमुष्मै॑ शे॒प्याव॑ते ॥ (१)
हे तृष्टिका अर्थात् दाह उत्पन्न करने वाली वाणापर्ण्य नामक जड़ीबूटी तथा हे दाह उत्पन्न करने वाली वृष्टवंदना नामक जड़ीबूटी! इस स्त्री को भोक्ता पुरुष से बलपूर्वक दूर करो. हे कोक उत्पन्न करने वाली जड़ीबूटी तृष्टिका! प्रजनन एवं संभोग में सक्षम इस पुरुष के लिए तू द्वेष करने वाली बन. (१)
O trishtika i.e. a herb called Vanaparnya that produces inflammation and O herb called Vrishtavandana that produces inflammation! Forcibly remove this woman from the consuming man. O coke-producing herb trishika! Be a spite for this man capable of breeding and mating. (1)
