अथर्ववेद (कांड 7)
जना॑द्विश्वज॒नीना॑त्सिन्धु॒तस्पर्याभृ॑तम् । दू॒रात्त्वा॑ मन्य॒ उद्भृ॑तमी॒र्ष्याया॒ नाम॑ भेष॒जम् ॥ (१)
ईर्ष्या समाप्त करने वाली जड़ीबूटी को संबोधित कर के कहा जा रहा है— सभी जनों के हितकारक जनपद से तथा सागर से लाई हुई को एवं दूर देश से उखाड़ कर लाई तुझ, सक्तुमंथ नामक जड़ीबूटी को मैं क्रोध का निवारण करने वाली मानता हूं. (१)
Addressing the herb that eliminates jealousy, it is being said that I consider the herb called Tujh, Saktumanth, brought from the district and the sea brought from the beneficial district of all people and uprooted from a distant country. (1)
