अदि॑ति॒र्द्यौरदि॑तिर॒न्तरि॑क्ष॒मदि॑तिर्मा॒ता स पि॒ता स पु॒त्रः । विश्वे॑ दे॒वा अदि॑ति॒र्पञ्च॒ जना॒ अदि॑तिर्जा॒तमदि॑ति॒र्जनि॑त्वम् ॥ (१)
खंड न होने योग्य जो पृथ्वी एवं देवमाता है, वही स्वर्ग और अंतरिक्ष है. वही संसार की निर्मात्री माता और उत्पन्न करने वाला पिता है. वही माता और पिता से उत्पन्न पुत्र है. ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य, शूद्र एवं निषाद-ये पांच जातियों वाले जन भी अदिति हैं. प्रजाओं की उत्पत्ति और जन्म का अधिकरण भी अदिति है.
