ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 28
आ॒य॒जी वा॑ज॒सात॑मा॒ ता ह्यु१॒॑च्चा वि॑जर्भृ॒तः । हरी॑ इ॒वान्धां॑सि॒ बप्स॑ता ॥ (७)
हे ऊखल और मूसल! तुम दोनों सभी प्रकार यज्ञ के साधन एवं प्रभूत अन्न देने वाले हो. जिस प्रकार इंद्र के दोनों घोड़े अपना खाद्य चना आदि चबाते समय ध्वनि करते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम भी तुमुल ध्वनि के साथ परस्पर प्रहार करते हो. (७)
O ukhaal and musal! Both of you are the ones who give all kinds of means of yajna and the great food. Just as both of Indra's horses make a sound while chewing their food chana, etc., in the same way you also strike each other with a tul sound. (7)
