त्वम॑ग्ने प्रथ॒मो मा॑त॒रिश्व॑न आ॒विर्भ॑व सुक्रतू॒या वि॒वस्व॑ते । अरे॑जेतां॒ रोद॑सी होतृ॒वूर्येऽस॑घ्नोर्भा॒रमय॑जो म॒हो व॑सो ॥ (३)
हे अग्नि! तुम वायु की अपेक्षा प्रमुख हो और यजमान के निकट सुंदर यज्ञ को पूर्ण करने की इच्छा से प्रकट हो जाओ. तुम्हारी सामर्थ्य देखकर धरती और आकाश कांप उठते हैं. तुमने श्रेष्ठ होता के रूप में यज्ञ का कार्य स्वीकार किया है. तुम्हारे यज्ञ में निवास के कारण पूज्य देवताओं के यज्ञ पूर्ण हुए हैं. (३)
O agni! You are dominant than the wind and appear by the desire to complete the beautiful yajna near the host. Seeing your power, the earth and the sky tremble. You have accepted the work of yajna as the best would have been. Because of your residence in the yajna, the yajnas of the revered gods have been completed. (3)
