ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 45
नि त्वा॒ होता॑रमृ॒त्विजं॑ दधि॒रे व॑सु॒वित्त॑मम् । श्रुत्क॑र्णं स॒प्रथ॑स्तमं॒ विप्रा॑ अग्ने॒ दिवि॑ष्टिषु ॥ (७)
हे अग्नि देव! बुद्धिमान्‌ लोग आह्वान करने वाले, ऋतुओं में यज्ञ संपन्न करने वाले, विविध धन प्राप्त कराने वाले, श्रवण समर्थ कानों से युक्त एवं अत्यंत प्रसिद्ध तुमको यज्ञों में धारण करते हैं. (७)
O God of agni! The wise ones who invoke, those who perform the yagna in the seasons, those who receive various wealth, those with hearing-sounding ears and the most famous ones hold you in the yagnas. (7)
