अ॒स्येदे॒व प्र रि॑रिचे महि॒त्वं दि॒वस्पृ॑थि॒व्याः पर्य॒न्तरि॑क्षात् । स्व॒राळिन्द्रो॒ दम॒ आ वि॒श्वगू॑र्तः स्व॒रिरम॑त्रो ववक्षे॒ रणा॑य ॥ (९)
इंद्र की महिमा आकाश, धरती और उनके मध्यवर्ती लोक से भी बढ़कर है. इंद्र अपने इस निवासस्थान में अपने तेज से सुशोभित, सभी कार्य करने में कुशल, शक्तिशाली शत्रु का नाश करने में समर्थ एवं युद्ध करने में निपुण हैं. इंद्र अपने मेघ रूप शत्रु को युद्ध के लिए ललकारते हैं. (९)
The glory of Indra is greater than the heavens, the earth and their intermediate realms. Indra is adorned with his swiftness in this abode, skilled in doing all his work, capable of destroying a powerful enemy and adept at fighting. Indra challenges his cloudy form of enemy to war. (9)
