ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 73
दे॒वो न यः पृ॑थि॒वीं वि॒श्वधा॑या उप॒क्षेति॑ हि॒तमि॑त्रो॒ न राजा॑ । पु॒रः॒सदः॑ शर्म॒सदो॒ न वी॒रा अ॑नव॒द्या पति॑जुष्टेव॒ नारी॑ ॥ (३)
जो अग्नि प्रकाशवान्‌ सूर्य के समान सारे जगत्‌ को धारण करते हैं, अनुकूल मित्रों वाले राजा के समान धरती पर निवास करते हैं एवं जिस अग्नि के सामने संसार इस प्रकार बैठता है, जैसे पुत्र पिता के सम्मुख, वे अग्नि अनिंदिता एवं पति द्वारा स्वीकृत नारी के समान शुद्धकर्म वाले हैं. (३)
Those who hold the entire world like the sun of agni, who live on the earth like a king with favorable friends, and the agni in front of which the world sits in such a way as the son before the father, they are pure deeds like the woman sanctioned by the agni anindita and the husband. (3)
