यः स्नीहि॑तीषु पू॒र्व्यः सं॑जग्मा॒नासु॑ कृ॒ष्टिषु॑ । अर॑क्षद्दा॒शुषे॒ गय॑म् ॥ (२)
शत्रु भाव से पूर्ण एवं हत्या करने में प्रवृत्त प्रजाओं के मध्य स्थित हवि देने वाले यजमान के धन के रक्षक अग्नि की हम स्तुति करते हैं. (२)
We praise the agni, the protector of the host's wealth, which is located among the people who are full of enemies and prone to killing. (2)
