श॒केम॑ त्वा स॒मिधं॑ सा॒धया॒ धिय॒स्त्वे दे॒वा ह॒विर॑द॒न्त्याहु॑तम् । त्वमा॑दि॒त्याँ आ व॑ह॒ तान्ह्यु१॒॑श्मस्यग्ने॑ स॒ख्ये मा रि॑षामा व॒यं तव॑ ॥ (३)
हे अग्नि! हम तुम्हें भली प्रकार ज्वलित कर सकें एवं तुम हमारे यज्ञों को पूरा करो, क्योंकि ऋत्विजों द्वारा तुम में डाला गया हव्य देवगण भक्षण करते हैं. तुम अदितिपुत्रों अर्थात्‌ देवों को यहां ले आओ, वयोंकि हम उनकी कामना करते हैं. तुम्हारी मित्रता प्राप्त कर लेने पर कोई हमारी हिंसा न करे. (३)
O agni! May We be able to light you well and you may fulfill our sacrifices, for the gods eat the things that have been poured into you by the ritvites. You bring the sons of Aditi, that is, the gods, here, because we wish them. Let no one violence us when you have received your friendship. (3)
