इ॒मा अ॑स्मै म॒तयो॒ वाचो॑ अ॒स्मदाँ ऋचो॒ गिरः॑ सुष्टु॒तयः॒ सम॑ग्मत । व॒सू॒यवो॒ वस॑वे जा॒तवे॑दसे वृ॒द्धासु॑ चि॒द्वर्ध॑नो॒ यासु॑ चा॒कन॑त् ॥ (१२)
अग्नि के लिए ही यह चिंतन, स्तुतियां और वेदमंत्र किए जाते हैं. हमारे लिए धन की अभिलाषा करने वाली शोभन स्तुतियां ऋचारूपी वाणी से निकलकर अग्नि से मिलती हैं. इन स्तुतियों के बढ़ने पर अग्ने संतुष्ट होकर धन की वृद्धि करते हैं. (१२)
It is only for the sake of agni that these contemplations, hymns and vedamantras are done. Shobhan praises that aspire for wealth for us come out of the rich voice and come from the agni. As these praises grow, Agne is satisfied and increases wealth. (12)
