ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 55
इ॒मां च॑ नः पृथि॒वीं वि॒श्वधा॑या॒ उप॑ क्षेति हि॒तमि॑त्रो॒ न राजा॑ । पु॒रः॒सदः॑ शर्म॒सदो॒ न वी॒रा म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ (२१)
विश्व का पालन करने वाले एवं हमारे राजा इंद्र धरती एवं आकाश के समीप रहते हैं. वीर मरुत्‌ संग्राम में इंद्र के आगे रहते हैं तथा उनके घर में निवास करते हैं. देवों का प्रमुख बल एक ही है. (२१)
The one who follows the world and our king Indra lives near the earth and the sky. Veera lives in front of Indra in the desert struggle and resides in his house. The principal force of the gods is the same. (21)
