ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
त्वद्विश्वा॑ सुभग॒ सौभ॑गा॒न्यग्ने॒ वि य॑न्ति व॒निनो॒ न व॒याः । श्रु॒ष्टी र॒यिर्वाजो॑ वृत्र॒तूर्ये॑ दि॒वो वृ॒ष्टिरीड्यो॑ री॒तिर॒पाम् ॥ (१)
हे शोभन धन वाले अग्नि! सभी उत्तम धन तुमसे उत्पन्न हुए हैं. जिस प्रकार वृक्षों से शाखाएं उत्पन्न होती हैं, उसी प्रकार तुमसे पशुसमूह, युद्ध में शत्रुओं को जीतने वाली शक्ति एवं आकाश से वर्षा शीघ्र उत्पन्न होती है. तुम सबके स्तुतियोग्य बनकर जल को उत्पन्न करते हो. (१)
O agni with riches! All the best wealth is born of you. Just as branches are produced from trees, so you produce a group of animals, the power that conquers enemies in battle, and rain quickly from the sky. You produce water by being praiseworthy of all. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
त्वं भगो॑ न॒ आ हि रत्न॑मि॒षे परि॑ज्मेव क्षयसि द॒स्मव॑र्चाः । अग्ने॑ मि॒त्रो न बृ॑ह॒त ऋ॒तस्यासि॑ क्ष॒त्ता वा॒मस्य॑ देव॒ भूरेः॑ ॥ (२)
हे सेवा करने योग्य अग्नि! हमें रमणीय धन दो. हे दर्शनीय प्रकाश वाले अग्नि! तुम वायु के समान सब जगह फैलो. अग्नि देव! तुम मित्र के समान विशाल यज्ञसाधनों एवं पर्याप्त धन के दाता बनो. (२)
O serviceable agni! Give us delightful wealth. O agni with visible light! You spread all over the place like air. God of agni! You become the giver of vast sacrificial means and sufficient wealth like a friend. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
स सत्प॑तिः॒ शव॑सा हन्ति वृ॒त्रमग्ने॒ विप्रो॒ वि प॒णेर्भ॑र्ति॒ वाज॑म् । यं त्वं प्र॑चेत ऋतजात रा॒या स॒जोषा॒ नप्त्रा॒पां हि॒नोषि॑ ॥ (३)
हे उत्तम ज्ञानसंपन्न व यज्ञ के निमित्त उत्पन्न अग्नि! तुम जल के पुत्र विद्युत् से मिलकर जिस व्यक्ति को धन देना चाहते हो, वह सज्जनों का रक्षक व बुद्धिमान् होकर शक्ति द्वारा शत्रुओं का नाश करता है तथा पणि लोगों की शक्ति छीन लेता है. (३)
O the best knowledge and the agni created for the sake of yajna! The person to whom you want to give money by meeting the son of water, Electricity, is the protector of the gentlemen and wise, destroys the enemies by power and takes away the power of the people. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
यस्ते॑ सूनो सहसो गी॒र्भिरु॒क्थैर्य॒ज्ञैर्मर्तो॒ निशि॑तिं वे॒द्यान॑ट् । विश्वं॒ स दे॑व॒ प्रति॒ वार॑मग्ने ध॒त्ते धा॒न्यं१॒॑ पत्य॑ते वस॒व्यैः॑ ॥ (४)
हे बलपुत्र अग्नि देव! जो यजमान स्तुति वचनों, स्तोत्रों एवं यज्ञसाधनों द्वारा यज्ञवेदी में तुम्हारा तीक्ष्ण प्रकाश पहुंचाता है, वह पर्याप्त अन्न धारण करता है तथा संपत्तियों को पाता है. (४)
O son of power, God of agni! The host who brings your sharp light to the yajna-vedi through praise words, hymns and sacrificial means, holds enough food and finds the possessions. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
ता नृभ्य॒ आ सौ॑श्रव॒सा सु॒वीराग्ने॑ सूनो सहसः पु॒ष्यसे॑ धाः । कृ॒णोषि॒ यच्छव॑सा॒ भूरि॑ प॒श्वो वयो॒ वृका॑या॒रये॒ जसु॑रये ॥ (५)
हे बलपुत्र अग्नि! हमारे पोषण के निमित्त तुम शत्रुओं से लाया हुआ शोभन अन्न हमें संतान सहित दो. तुम पशुओं व दूधदहीरूप जो अन्न दानहीन असुरों से प्राप्त करते हो वह अधिक मात्रा में हमें दो. (५)
O son of strength, agni! For the sake of our nourishment, give us the good food brought from your enemies, along with the children. Give us more quantity of the food that you get from the unstained asuras in the form of cattle and milk milk. (5)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
व॒द्मा सू॑नो सहसो नो॒ विहा॑या॒ अग्ने॑ तो॒कं तन॑यं वा॒जि नो॑ दाः । विश्वा॑भिर्गी॒र्भिर॒भि पू॒र्तिम॑श्यां॒ मदे॑म श॒तहि॑माः सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (६)
हे बलपुत्र एवं महान् अग्नि! तुम हमारे हितोपदेशक बनो तथा हमें अन्न के साथ-साथ पुत्र-पौत्र दो. हम समस्त स्तुतियों द्वारा अपनी कामनाओं को प्राप्त करें तथा सौ वर्ष तक उत्तम संतान के साथ जिएं. (६)
O son of strength and great agni! Be our benefactors and give us sons and grandsons along with food. May we receive our desires through all praise and live with the best child for a hundred years. (6)
