ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 25
आभिः॒ स्पृधो॑ मिथ॒तीररि॑षण्यन्न॒मित्र॑स्य व्यथया म॒न्युमि॑न्द्र । आभि॒र्विश्वा॑ अभि॒युजो॒ विषू॑ची॒रार्या॑य॒ विशोऽव॑ तारी॒र्दासीः॑ ॥ (२)
हे इंद्र! हमारी स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होकर हमारी शत्रुघातिनी सेना की रक्षा करते हुए शत्रुओं के कोष को समाप्त करो. इन्हीं स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होकर यज्ञ करने वाले यजमान के कल्याण के लिए या कार्यों को नष्ट करने वाली सभी प्रजाओं को समाप्त करो. (२)
O Indra! Be pleased with our praises and end the enemy's treasures while protecting our enemy army. Pleased with these praises, finish all the people who perform the yajna for the welfare of the host or who destroy the deeds. (2)
