ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
आ दे॒वो या॑तु सवि॒ता सु॒रत्नो॑ऽन्तरिक्ष॒प्रा वह॑मानो॒ अश्वैः॑ । हस्ते॒ दधा॑नो॒ नर्या॑ पु॒रूणि॑ निवे॒शय॑ञ्च प्रसु॒वञ्च॒ भूम॑ ॥ (१)
शोभनरत्नों से युक्त, अपने तेज से अंतरिक्ष को पूर्ण करने वाले एवं अपने घोड़ों द्वारा ढोए जाते हुए सविता देव अनेक मानवहितकारी धनों को हाथ में धारण करते हैं. वे प्राणियों को स्थापित करते हैं एवं कर्म में लगाते हैं. वे यहां आवें. (१)
Savita Dev, who is adorned with adornments, completes the space with her swiftness and is carried by her horses, holds many human-friendly wealth in her hand. They establish beings and put them into action. They come here. (1)

उद॑स्य बा॒हू शि॑थि॒रा बृ॒हन्ता॑ हिर॒ण्यया॑ दि॒वो अन्ता॑ँ अनष्टाम् । नू॒नं सो अ॑स्य महि॒मा प॑निष्ट॒ सूर॑श्चिदस्मा॒ अनु॑ दादप॒स्याम् ॥ (२)
दान के निमित्त फैलाई हुई, विशाल एवं सोने की भुजाओं को सविता देव अंतरिक्ष में व्याप्त करें. हम सविता की उसी महिमा की आज प्रशंसा कर रहे हैं. सूर्य भी सविता को कर्म की इच्छा दें. (२)
For the sake of charity, let savita dev spread out, huge and gold arms be spread in the space. We are praising the same glory of Savita today. The sun also give Savita the desire to do karma. (2)

स घा॑ नो दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता स॒हावा सा॑विष॒द्वसु॑पति॒र्वसू॑नि । वि॒श्रय॑माणो अ॒मति॑मुरू॒चीं म॑र्त॒भोज॑न॒मध॑ रासते नः ॥ (३)
तेजस्वी व धनों के पालक सविता देव हमारे लिए सब ओर से धनों को प्रेरित करते हैं. वे विस्तीर्ण गति वाले रूप को धारण करते हुए इस समय हमें मानवों के भोग में आने वाला धन दें. (३)
Savita Dev, the leader of the bright and wealth, inspires wealth for us from all sides. They take on a form of wide motion and give us the money that comes in the enjoyment of human beings at this time. (3)

इ॒मा गिरः॑ सवि॒तारं॑ सुजि॒ह्वं पू॒र्णग॑भस्तिमीळते सुपा॒णिम् । चि॒त्रं वयो॑ बृ॒हद॒स्मे द॑धातु यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (४)
ये वाणियां शोभनजिह्वा वाले, संपूर्ण धनयुक्त एवं शोभनपाणि वाले सविता की स्तुति करती हैं. वे हमें विचित्र एवं महान् धन दें. हे देवो! तुम कल्याणसाधनों द्वारा हमारा सदा पालन करो. (४)
These vaanis praise savita with shobhanjihwa, who is full of wealth and full of wealth. They give us strange and great wealth. Oh, God! You always follow us by means of well-being. (4)
