ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 95
स वा॑वृधे॒ नर्यो॒ योष॑णासु॒ वृषा॒ शिशु॑र्वृष॒भो य॒ज्ञिया॑सु । स वा॒जिनं॑ म॒घव॑द्भ्यो दधाति॒ वि सा॒तये॑ त॒न्वं॑ मामृजीत ॥ (३)
मानवों का हित एवं वर्षा करने वाले सरस्वान्‌ नामक वायु यज्ञ के योग्य स्त्री अर्थात्‌ जरासमूह के बीच वृद्धि को प्राप्त हुए. वे हव्य धारण करने वाले यजमानों को शक्तिशाली संतान देते हैं एवं उनके कल्याण के लिए शरीर का संस्कार करते हैं. (३)
In the interest of human beings and the rainers attained the growth among the worthy woman i.e. the jara group of vayu yajna called Sarswan. They give powerful offspring to the hosts who wear the havan and perform the rites of the body for their welfare. (3)
