ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 25
ऋ॒ज्रमु॑क्ष॒ण्याय॑ने रज॒तं हर॑याणे । रथं॑ यु॒क्तम॑सनाम सु॒षाम॑णि ॥ (२२)
उक्ष गोत्र में उत्पन्न एवं सुषामा के पुत्र राजा वरु ने जब दान देना आरंभ किया था, तब हमें सीधा चलने वाला, चांदी का बना हुआ एवं दो घोड़ों से युक्त रथ मिला था. वरु का रथ शन्रुओं का जीवन, धन आदि हरण करता है. (२२)
When King Varu, born in the Ukhs tribe and the son of Sushama, started donating, we found a chariot of straight running, made of silver and with two horses. The chariot of Varu takes away the life, wealth, etc. of the Shanrus. (22)
