ऋग्वेद (मंडल 8)
मा त्वा॑ मू॒रा अ॑वि॒ष्यवो॒ मोप॒हस्वा॑न॒ आ द॑भन् । माकीं॑ ब्रह्म॒द्विषो॑ वनः ॥ (२३)
हे इंद्र! बुद्धिहीन लोग अपनी रक्षा की इच्छा से तुम्हारी हिंसा न करें और न तुम्हारी हंसी उड़ावें. उन ब्राह्मणद्वेषियों के पास मत जाना. (२३)
O Indra! The mindless should not violence you or make fun of you with the desire to protect them. Don't go to those Brahmins. (23)
