ऋग्वेद (मंडल 8)
स पू॒र्व्यो म॒हानां॑ वे॒नः क्रतु॑भिरानजे । यस्य॒ द्वारा॒ मनु॑ष्पि॒ता दे॒वेषु॒ धिय॑ आन॒जे ॥ (१)
प्रमुख एवं पूजनीय यजमानों को यज्ञकम में सुंदर इंद्र आते हैं. देवों के मध्य में प्रजाओं के पालक मनु ने ही इंद्र को पाने का द्वार प्राप्त किया था. (१)
The chief and revered hosts come to the yagnakam beautiful Indra. In the midst of the devas, it was Manu, the guardian of the people, who had received the door to attain Indra. (1)

दि॒वो मानं॒ नोत्स॑द॒न्सोम॑पृष्ठासो॒ अद्र॑यः । उ॒क्था ब्रह्म॑ च॒ शंस्या॑ ॥ (२)
सोमरस कुचलने के साधन पत्थरों ने स्वर्ग का निर्माण करने वाले इंद्र का त्याग नहीं किया. उकथमंत्र एवं स्तुतियां बोलने योग्य हैं. (२)
The stones of the means of crushing the Somras did not forsake Indra, who created heaven. Ukathamtra and praises are worth speaking. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 8)
स वि॒द्वाँ अङ्गि॑रोभ्य॒ इन्द्रो॒ गा अ॑वृणो॒दप॑ । स्तु॒षे तद॑स्य॒ पौंस्य॑म् ॥ (३)
उपाय जानने वाले इंद्र ने अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋषियों के लिए गायों को प्रकट किया था. इंद्र के उस वीर कर्म की मैं स्तुति करता हूं. (३)
Indra, who knew the remedy, had revealed the cows to the Angiragotrian sages. I praise that heroic deed of Indra. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 8)
स प्र॒त्नथा॑ कविवृ॒ध इन्द्रो॑ वा॒कस्य॑ व॒क्षणिः॑ । शि॒वो अ॒र्कस्य॒ होम॑न्यस्म॒त्रा ग॒न्त्वव॑से ॥ (४)
पहले के समान इस समय भी कवियों को बढ़ाने वाले, स्तोता का कार्य वहन करने वाले एवं सुखकर इंद्र पूजनीय सोमरस के होम के समय हमारी रक्षा के लिए आवें. (४)
As before, at this time also, those who raise the poets, who carry the work of the stota and the pleasures come to protect us at the time of indra revered somras' home. (4)

आदू॒ नु ते॒ अनु॒ क्रतुं॒ स्वाहा॒ वर॑स्य॒ यज्य॑वः । श्वा॒त्रम॒र्का अ॑नूष॒तेन्द्र॑ गो॒त्रस्य॑ दा॒वने॑ ॥ (५)
हे इंद्र! स्वाहा देवी के पति अग्नि का यज्ञ करने वाले लोग अनुक्रम से तुम्हारे ही कर्म की प्रशंसा करते हैं, स्तोता शीघ्र धन पाने के लिए तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. (५)
O Indra! The people who perform the yajna of Fire, the husband of Swaha Devi, praise your own karma in sequence, the stotas praise you for getting quick money. (5)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 8)
इन्द्रे॒ विश्वा॑नि वी॒र्या॑ कृ॒तानि॒ कर्त्वा॑नि च । यम॒र्का अ॑ध्व॒रं वि॒दुः ॥ (६)
स्तोतागण जिस इंद्र को हिंसारहित जानते हैं, उन्हीं इंद्र में समस्त शक्तियां एवं कर्तव्यकर्म वर्तमान हैं. (६)
The Indra whom the Stotas know to be free from violence, all the powers and duties of duty are present in the same Indra. (6)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 8)
यत्पाञ्च॑जन्यया वि॒शेन्द्रे॒ घोषा॒ असृ॑क्षत । अस्तृ॑णाद्ब॒र्हणा॑ वि॒पो॒३॒॑ऽर्यो मान॑स्य॒ स क्षयः॑ ॥ (७)
जब चारों वर्ण एवं निषाद प्रजा के साथ इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं, तब स्वामी इंद्र अपनी महिमा से शत्रुओं का वध करते हैं एवं मेधावी के आदर के पात्र बनते हैं. (७)
When the four Varnas and Nishads praise Indra along with the people, Swami Indra kills the enemies with his glory and becomes the object of respect for the meritorious. (7)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 8)
इ॒यमु॑ ते॒ अनु॑ष्टुतिश्चकृ॒षे तानि॒ पौंस्या॑ । प्राव॑श्च॒क्रस्य॑ वर्त॒निम् ॥ (८)
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारी यह स्तुति इसलिए की जा रही है, क्योंकि तुमने वीरतापूर्ण कार्यों को किया है. तुम रथ के पहिए की रक्षा करो. (८)
O Indra! This praise of you is being given because you have done heroic deeds. You protect the wheel of the chariot. (8)
