अ॒भि प्र भ॑र धृष॒ता धृ॑षन्मनः॒ श्रव॑श्चित्ते असद्बृ॒हत् । अर्ष॒न्त्वापो॒ जव॑सा॒ वि मा॒तरो॒ हनो॑ वृ॒त्रं जया॒ स्वः॑ ॥ (४)
हे शत्रुओं को हराने के लिए दृढ़ निश्चय इंद्र! तुम्हारा अन्न महान्‌ है. दृढ़ हृदय द्वारा वह धन तुम हमें दो. हमारी माता के समान जल तेजी के साथ भूमियों पर जावे. तुम जल रोकने वाले वृत्र असुर का नाश करो तथा अपने आपको जीतो. (४)
O Indra, determined to defeat the enemies! Your food is great. By the firm heart that wealth you give us. Go to the lands with the same water fast as our mother. You destroy the vrithra asura who stops the water and conquer yourself. (4)
