ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 85
त्वं ह॒ त्यद॑प्रतिमा॒नमोजो॒ वज्रे॑ण वज्रिन्धृषि॒तो ज॑घन्थ । त्वं शुष्ण॒स्यावा॑तिरो॒ वध॑त्रै॒स्त्वं गा इ॑न्द्र॒ शच्येद॑विन्दः ॥ (१७)
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! तुमने वह कार्य किया है. तुमने अद्वितीय योद्धा बनकर अपने वज्र से शुष्ण का बल न्ट किया था. तुमने अपने आयुधों से राजर्षि कुत्स के कल्याण के लिए कृष्ण असुर को नीचे की ओर मुंह करके मारा था तथा अपनी शक्ति से शत्रुओं की गाएं प्राप्त की थीं. (१७)
O thunderbolt Indra! You've done that work. You became a unique warrior and had the force of shushna with your thunderbolt. You had killed Krishna Asura with your weapons facing downwards for the welfare of Rajarshi Kuts and got the songs of enemies with your power. (17)
