ने॒मिं न॑मन्ति॒ चक्ष॑सा मे॒षं विप्रा॑ अभि॒स्वरा॑ । सु॒दी॒तयो॑ वो अ॒द्रुहोऽपि॒ कर्णे॑ तर॒स्विनः॒ समृक्व॑भिः ॥ (१२)
स्तोता नमनशील इंद्र को देखते ही नमस्कार करते हैं. मेधावी ब्राह्मण मेघ के समान उपकारी इंद्र को देखकर स्तुतियां बोलते हैं. हे शोभन दीप्ति वाले, द्रोहरहित एवं शीघ्रता करने वाले स्तोताओ! तुम इंद्र के कान के पास ऋग्वेद के पूजामंत्र बोलो. (१२)
