व॒चो॒विदं॒ वाच॑मुदी॒रय॑न्तीं॒ विश्वा॑भिर्धी॒भिरु॑प॒तिष्ठ॑मानाम् । दे॒वीं दे॒वेभ्यः॒ पर्ये॒युषीं॒ गामा मा॑वृक्त॒ मर्त्यो॑ द॒भ्रचे॑ताः ॥ (१६)
बोलने की शक्ति देने वाली, वचन उच्चारण करने वाली, सभी वचनों के साथ उपस्थित होने वाली, दीप्तिशालिनी एवं देवों के हित के लिए मुझे जानने वाली गाय का त्याग अल्प बुद्धि वाले लोग ही करते हैं. (१६)
The one who gives the power to speak, the one who pronounces the words, the one who is present with all the words, the one who knows me for the sake of radiance and the welfare of the gods, only people with less intelligence renounce the cow. (16)
