पव॑स्व दक्ष॒साध॑नो दे॒वेभ्यः॑ पी॒तये॑ हरे । म॒रुद्भ्यो॑ वा॒यवे॒ मदः॑ ॥ (१)
हे हरितवर्ण, बल के साधक एवं नशीले सोम! तुम मरुतों, वायु एवं अन्य देवों के पीने के लिए टपको. (१)
O greenish- varna, seeker of force and intoxicating mon! You tap for the maruts, the air and other gods to drink. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 9)
पव॑मान धि॒या हि॒तो॒३॒॑ऽभि योनिं॒ कनि॑क्रदत् । धर्म॑णा वा॒युमा वि॑श ॥ (२)
हे निचोड़े जाते हुए एवं हमारी उंगलियों द्वारा पकड़े गए सोम! तुम शब्द करते हुए अपने स्थान में प्रवेश करो. तुम यज्ञकर्म के साथ वायु के पात्र में प्रवेश करो. (२)
O Mon being squeezed and caught by our fingers! Enter your place while you do the word. You enter the vessel of air with the yajnakarma. (2)

सं दे॒वैः शो॑भते॒ वृषा॑ क॒विर्योना॒वधि॑ प्रि॒यः । वृ॒त्र॒हा दे॑व॒वीत॑मः ॥ (३)
अपने स्थान में स्थित, अभिलाषापूरक, क्रांत बुद्धि वाले, सबके प्रिय, वृत्र का नाश करने वाले एवं देवों की अधिक अभिलाषा करने वाले पवमान सोम देवों के साथ भली प्रकार शोभा पाते हैं. (३)
Situated in his place, the desire-filled, the one with the eternal intellect, the beloved of all, the destroyer of the vrithra and the one who desires more of the gods, the Pavaman Som, who is more desirous of the gods, is well-suited with the gods. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 9)
विश्वा॑ रू॒पाण्या॑वि॒शन्पु॑ना॒नो या॑ति हर्य॒तः । यत्रा॒मृता॑स॒ आस॑ते ॥ (४)
निचोड़े जाते हुए सुंदर सोम वहां जाते हैं, जहां देव निवास करते हैं. (४)
Being squeezed, the beautiful Mon goes to the place where Dev resides. (4)

अ॒रु॒षो ज॒नय॒न्गिरः॒ सोमः॑ पवत आयु॒षक् । इन्द्रं॒ गच्छ॑न्क॒विक्र॑तुः ॥ (५)
क्रांत प्रज्ञा वाले एवं दीप्तिशाली सोम अपने समीपवर्ती इंद्र को व्याप्त करके शब्द करते हुए टपकते हैं. (५)
The kranti-pragya wale and the bright-hearted Soma drips in the words by permeating indra near him. (5)

आ प॑वस्व मदिन्तम प॒वित्रं॒ धार॑या कवे । अ॒र्कस्य॒ योनि॑मा॒सद॑म् ॥ (६)
हे अतिशय मादक एवं क्रांत प्रज्ञा वाले सोम! तुम पूजनीय इंद्र के स्थान को प्राप्त करने के लिए दशापवित्र को पार करके धारा के रूप में बहो. (६)
This is the most intoxicating and krant pragya wale mon! You cross the Dashapavitra to attain the place of the revered Indra and flow as a stream. (6)
