स॒हस्र॑धा॒रेऽव॒ ते सम॑स्वरन्दि॒वो नाके॒ मधु॑जिह्वा अस॒श्चतः॑ । अस्य॒ स्पशो॒ न नि मि॑षन्ति॒ भूर्ण॑यः प॒देप॑दे पा॒शिनः॑ सन्ति॒ सेत॑वः ॥ (४)
हजार धाराएं बरसाने वाले अंतरिक्ष में वर्तमान सोमरस की किरणें नीचे स्थित धरती को वृषटियुक्त करती हैं. द्युलोक के ऊंचे स्थान में स्थित, मधुपूर्ण जीभ वाली एक-दूसरे से अलग सोमरस की अपनी किरणें तेज चलती हुई कभी पलक नहीं गिरातीं. इस प्रकार सोम की किरणें स्थान-स्थान पर पापियों को बाधा पहुंचाती हैं. (४)
