ऊ॒र्ध्वो ग॑न्ध॒र्वो अधि॒ नाके॑ अस्था॒द्विश्वा॑ रू॒पा प्र॑ति॒चक्षा॑णो अस्य । भा॒नुः शु॒क्रेण॑ शो॒चिषा॒ व्य॑द्यौ॒त्प्रारू॑रुच॒द्रोद॑सी मा॒तरा॒ शुचिः॑ ॥ (१२)
उन्नत एवं किरणें धारण करने वाले सोम आदित्य के मध्य स्थित होते हैं एवं इस आदित्य के सभी रूपों को देखते हैं. सूर्य में स्थित सोम दीप्त तेज के द्वारा प्रकाशित होते हैं. दीप्ति वाले सूर्य विश्व का निर्माण करने वाली द्यावा-पृथिवी को प्रकाशित करते हैं. (१२)
The advanced and the rays-holding Som are located in the middle of Aditya and see all the forms of this Aditya. Mons located in the sun are illuminated by the bright radiance. The bright sun illuminates the dyava-earth that creates the world. (12)
