सामवेद (अध्याय 16)
एष देवः शुभायतेऽधि योनावमर्त्यः । वृत्रहा देववीतमः ॥ (३)
सोम देवताओं को बहुत अधिक भाते हैं. वे देवताओं की दिव्यता (दैवीभाव) को और अधिक बढ़ा देते हैं. वे अमर और शत्रुनाशी हैं. यज्ञ के कलश में सोमरस बहुत अधिक शोभित होता है. (३)
Soma is very much liked by the gods. They further increase the divinity (divineness) of the gods. They are immortal and hostile. Someras is very much adorned in the kalash of yajna. (3)
