सामवेद (अध्याय 2)
इदँ ह्यन्वोजसा सुतँ राधानां पते । पिबा त्वा३स्य गिर्वणः ॥ (१)
हे इंद्र! आप धन के स्वामी हैं. आप प्रार्थना करने योग्य हैं. हम ने बहुत मेहनत से आप के लिए सोमरस निचोड़ा है. आप रुचिपूर्वक इसे ग्रहण कीजिए. (१)
O Indra! You are the master of wealth. You deserve to pray. We have squeezed somers for you very hard. You accept it with interest. (1)
सामवेद (अध्याय 2)
महाँ इन्द्रः पुरश्च नो महित्वमस्तु वज्रिणे । द्यौर्न प्रथिना शवः ॥ (२)
हे इंद्र! आप महान हैं. आप के गुण श्रेष्ठ हैं. आप वज्रधारी हैं. आप की कीर्ति स्वर्गलोक की तरह फैले. आप के बल की चारों ओर प्रशंसा हो. (२)
O Indra! You are great. Your qualities are superior. You are a thunderbolt. Your fame spread like heaven. Be admired around the force of you. (2)
सामवेद (अध्याय 2)
आ तू न इन्द्र क्षुमन्तं चित्रं ग्राभँ सं गृभाय । महाहस्ती दक्षिणेन ॥ (३)
हे इंद्र! आप बड़ेबड़े हाथों वाले हैं. आप हमारे लिए यशदायी धन दाएं हाथ में लीजिए. वह धन बहुत प्रशंसनीय हो. कई लोगों द्वारा लेने योग्य हो. (३)
O Indra! You are big-handed. You take the money that is worthwhile for us in your right hand. That money is very praiseworthy. be taken by many people. (3)
सामवेद (अध्याय 2)
अभि प्र गोपतिं गिरेन्द्रमर्च यथा विदे । सूनुँ सत्यस्य सत्पतिम् ॥ (४)
हे याजको! यज्ञ वाले इंद्र गौओं के स्वामी हैं. वे यजमानों के पालनहार हैं. वे यज्ञ के पुत्र व सत्य के रक्षक हैं. आप मन से उन की स्तुति कीजिए. (४)
Hey Yazko! Indra, the one who performed yajna, is the swami of cows. They are the sustainers of the hosts. He is the son of yajna and protector of truth. Praise them wholeheartedly. (4)
सामवेद (अध्याय 2)
कया नश्चित्र आ भुवदूती सदावृधः सखा । कया शचिष्ठया वृता ॥ (५)
हे इंद्र! आप सदा बढ़ने वाले हैं. आप विलक्षण हैं. आप किस कर्म, पूजा विधि और भेंट से हम पर कृपा करेंगे? आप किन दिव्य तेजों से भर कर हमारे पास पधारेंगे? (५)
O Indra! You are going to grow forever. You are fantastic. By what deeds, methods of worship and offerings will you be kind to us? With what divine radiance will you come to us? (5)
सामवेद (अध्याय 2)
त्यमु वः सत्रासाहं विश्वासु गीर्ष्वायतम् । आ च्यावयस्यूतये ॥ (६)
हे याजको! इंद्र बहुत से शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले हैं. सभी स्तुतियों में इंद्र का वर्णन है. आप अपने संरक्षण के लिए उन का आह्वान कीजिए. (६)
Hey Yazko! Indra is the destroyer of many enemies. Indra is described in all praises. You call on them for your protection. (6)
सामवेद (अध्याय 2)
सदसस्पतिमद्भुतं प्रियमिन्द्रस्य काम्यम् । सनिं मेधामयासिषम् ॥ (७)
हे इंद्र! आप अपूर्व, इच्छित धन देने वाले और श्रेष्ठ हैं. अपनी बुद्धि को बढ़ाने के लिए हम ने आप को प्राप्त किया. (७)
O Indra! You are unique, the giver of the desired wealth and the best. To increase our intelligence, we gained you. (7)
सामवेद (अध्याय 2)
ये ते पन्था अधो दिवो येभिर्व्यश्वमैरयः । उत श्रोषन्तु नो भुवः ॥ (८)
हे इंद्र! स्वर्गलोक में नीचे जो रास्ता है, जिस रास्ते से आप पृथ्वी का संचालन करते हैं, वह रास्ता हमारे यज्ञ स्थान तक पहुंचता है. आप उस रास्ते से हमारे यज्ञ में पधारें. (८)
O Indra! The path below in heaven, the path through which you operate the earth, that path reaches our yajna place. You come to our yajna through that route. (8)
