सामवेद: | खंड: 4
अग्रेगो राजाप्यस्तविष्यते विमानो अह्नां भुवनेष्वर्पितः । हरिर्घृतस्नुः सुदृशीको अर्णवो ज्योतीरथः पवते राय ओक्यः ॥ (१२)
सोम अग्रगामी हैं, राजा हैं, जल में मिलते हैं और प्रशंसा प्राप्त करते हैं. वे लोकों में दिन के (समय के) मापक, सुंदर व हरे हैं. वे जलवासी, ज्योतिर्मय रथ वाले व धन का भंडार हैं. (१२)
Soma is the forerunner, the king, meets in the water and receives praise. They are beautiful and green, measuring (time) of the day in the worlds. They are jalvasis, jyotirmaya raths and storehouses of wealth. (12)
