यजुर्वेद:
गर्भो॑ऽअ॒स्योष॑धीनां॒ गर्भो॒ वन॒स्पती॑नाम्। गर्भो॒ विश्व॑स्य भू॒तस्याग्ने॒ गर्भो॑ऽअ॒पाम॑सि ॥ (३७)
हे अग्नि! आप ओषधियों का गर्भ हैं. आप वनस्पतियों का गर्भ हैं. आप सभी प्राणियों का गर्भ हैं. आप सभी जलों का गर्भ हैं. (३७)
O agni! You are the womb of medicines. You are the womb of flora. You are the womb of all beings. You are the womb of all waters. (37)
