यजुर्वेद:
क्ष॒पो रा॑जन्नु॒त त्मनाग्ने॒ वस्तो॑रु॒तोषसः॑। स ति॑ग्मजम्भ र॒क्षसो॑ दह॒ प्रति॑ ॥ (३७)
हे अग्नि! आप की लपटें विशाल हैं. आप चमकने वाले हैं. आप अपने तीक्ष्ण रूप से राक्षसों के दाहक हैं. आप प्रातः हमारे यज्ञों में बाधक राक्षसों का नाश कीजिए. (३७)
O agni! The flames of you are huge. You're going to shine. You are the destroyer of your sharp demons. You destroy the demons obstructing our sacrifices in the morning. (37)
