यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 15)
तप॑श्च तप॒स्यश्च॑ शैशि॒रावृ॒तूऽअ॒ग्नेर॑न्तःश्ले॒षोऽसि॒ कल्पे॑तां॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी कल्प॑न्ता॒माप॒ऽओष॑धयः॒ कल्प॑न्ताम॒ग्नयः॒ पृथ॒ङ् मम॒ ज्यैष्ठ्या॑य॒ सव्र॑ताः। येऽअ॒ग्नयः॒ सम॑नसोऽन्त॒रा द्यावा॑पृथि॒वीऽइ॒मे। शै॒शि॒रावृ॒तूऽअ॑भि॒कल्प॑माना॒ऽइन्द्र॑मिव दे॒वाऽअ॑भि॒संवि॑शन्तु॒ तया॑ दे॒वत॑याऽङ्गिर॒स्वद् ध्रु॒वे सी॑दतम् ॥ (५७)
तप तथा तपस्या के लिए शिशिर ऋतु से आवृत होइए. ये महीने अग्नि के भीतर से जुड़े हैं. स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक सुखदायी हैं. ओषधियां आनंददायी हों. अग्नियां संकल्पशील हों. जो अग्नियां समान मन वाली हैं, वे अग्नियां स्वर्गलोक तथा पृथ्वीलोक के बीच स्थापित होने की कृपा करों. जैसे इंद्र देव आश्रय हैं, वैसे ही शिशिर ऋतु से संबंधित देव आश्रय बनें. देवगण अंगिरा ऋषि की तरह श्रुव हो कर विराजमान होने की कृपा करें. (५७)
For penance and penance, be covered with shishir season. These months are connected from within the agni. Heaven and earth are happy. Medicines should be enjoyable. Let the agnis be determined. Please be pleased to establish the agnis that are of the same mind between heaven and earth. Just as Indra Dev is the shelter, so become the god shelter related to the Shishir season. Please be pleased to sit as a devotee like Angira Rishi. (57)
