यजुर्वेद:
शु॒क्रज्यो॑तिश्च चि॒त्रज्यो॑तिश्च स॒त्यज्योति॑श्च॒ ज्योति॑ष्माँश्च। शु॒क्रश्च॑ऽऋत॒पाश्चात्य॑ꣳहाः ॥ (८०)
आप चमकीले, अदभुत ज्योति वाले हैं. आप सत्य रूप ज्योति वाले और ज्योतिष्मान हैं. चमकीले सत्य स्वरूप पश्चिम दिशा वाले मरुत्‌ देव हेतु यह आहुति अर्पित है. (८०)
You are bright, wonderful light. You are the one with the light of truth and jyotishman. This sacrifice is offered to the desert god in the west direction in the bright true form. (80)
