यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 20)
स॒मु॒द्रे ते॒ हृद॑यम॒प्स्वन्तः सं त्वा॑ विश॒न्त्वोष॑धीरु॒तापः॑। सु॒मि॒त्रि॒या न॒ऽआप॒ऽओष॑धयः सन्तु दुर्मित्रि॒यास्तस्मै॑ सन्तु॒ योऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं च॑ व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः ॥ (१९)
समुद्र के जलों में आप का हदय स्थित है. आप अंतःकरण से बहीं विराजते है. बहां जल के मेल से आप में ओषधियों के गुण समाहित हो जाते हैं. जलमय वे ओषधियां हमारे प्रति मैत्रीपूर्ण हों. जो हम से द्वेष करते हैं तथा जिन से हम द्वेष करते हैं उन के दुर्मिंत्र होइए. (१९)
Your heart is located in the waters of the sea. You sit in the inner mind. By mixing water outside, you get the properties of medicines absorbed. May those medicines be friendly towards us. Be the mischief of those who hate us and those we hate. (19)
