यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 21)
होता॑ यक्ष॒त् सर॑स्वतीं॑ मे॒षस्य॑ ह॒विष॒ऽआव॑यद॒द्य म॑ध्य॒तो मेदः॒ उद्भृ॑तं पु॒रा द्वेषो॑भ्यः पु॒रा पौरु॑षेय्या गृ॒भो घस॑न्नू॒नं घा॒सेऽअ॑ज्राणां॒ यव॑सप्रथमाना सु॒मत्क्ष॑राणा शतरु॒द्रिया॑णामग्निष्वा॒त्तानां॒ पीवो॑पवसनानां पार्श्व॒तः श्रो॑णि॒तः शि॑ताम॒तऽउ॑त्साद॒तोऽङ्गा॑दङ्गा॒दव॑त्तानां॒ कर॑दे॒वꣳ सर॑स्वती जु॒षता॑ ह॒विर्होत॒र्यज॑ ॥ (४४)
आज होता ने देवी सरस्वती के लिए मेष के बीच के भाग से यज्ञ किया. द्वेषियों से पहले जिन्हें पौरुष से अन्न ग्रहण करने का अधिकार है, वे देवगण अपने पौरुष से अन्न ग्रहण करने की कृपा करें. अग्नि उस अन्न को पचा कर वायु रूप में सैकड़ों गुना फैला देते हैं. कांख, कमर, गुप्तांग तथा अन्य अंगों को हानि न हो. वे अंग पुष्ट हों. हे होता! सब के कल्याण हेतु यज्ञ करने की कृपा करों. Today Hota performed yagna for Goddess Saraswati from the middle part of Aries. Before the haters, those who have the right to receive food from the male, may the gods be pleased to receive food from their men. Fire digests that food and spreads it hundreds of times in the form of air. There should be no damage to the armpit, waist, genitals and other organs. Those organs should be strengthened. That was it! Please perform yajna for the welfare of all. (44)
