यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 22)
अ॒ग्निं दू॒तं पु॒रो द॑धे हव्य॒वाह॒मुप॑ब्रुवे।दे॒वाँ२ऽआ सा॑दयादि॒ह ॥ (१७)
अग्नि दूत व हव्य वाहक हैं. हम सम्मुख ही उन की स्थापना करते हैं. हम उन से अनुरोध करते हैं कि वह यहां पधारें व विराजें और हवि को देवताओं तक पहुचाएं. (१७)
Fire messengers and vehicles are carriers. We establish them in front of us. We request them to come here and sit and take Havi to the gods. (17)
