यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 22)
वि॒भूर्मा॒त्रा प्र॒भूः पि॒त्राश्वो॑ऽसि॒ हयो॒ऽस्यत्यो॑ऽसि॒ मयो॒ऽस्यर्वा॑सि॒ सप्ति॑रसि वा॒ज्यसि॒ वृषा॑सि नृ॒मणा॑ऽअसि। ययु॒र्नामा॑ऽसि॒ शिशु॒र्नामा॑स्यादि॒त्यानां॒ पत्वान्वि॑हि॒ देवा॑ऽआशापालाऽए॒तं दे॒वेभ्योऽश्वं॒ मेधा॑य॒ प्रोक्षि॑तꣳ रक्षते॒ह रन्ति॑रि॒ह र॑मतामि॒ह धृति॑रि॒ह स्वधृ॑तिः॒ स्वाहा॑ ॥ (१९)
हे अग्नि! आप वैभव संपन्न हैं. आप माता हैं. आप पिता हैं. आप अश्व हैं. आप हम हैं. आप गतिशील हैं. आप मय हैं. आप पराक्रमी हैं. आप सुखदायी हैं. आप नम्र हैं. आप शिशु हैं. आप रक्षक हैं. आप आदित्यों की तरह अपनी राह पर चलते हैं. आप दिशापति हैं. आप देवताओं के लिए इस संस्कार संपन्न घोड़े की रक्षा की कृपा कीजिए. यह यहां प्रसन्नता से रमण करें, रमें. यह यज्ञ को धारें. यह स्वयं धारण करने की शक्ति बाले हैं. इन के लिए स्वाहा. O agni! You are endowed with splendour. You are the mother. You are the father. You are horse. You are us. You are dynamic. You are Maya. You are mighty. You are happy. You are humble. You are an infant. You are the protector. You follow your path like Adityas. You are dishapati. Please protect this cultured horse for the gods. Delight here, in the meantime. Hold this yajna. It is the power to hold itself. Swaha for these. (19)
