अध्याय 29 → मंत्र 41 - संस्कृत मंत्र, हिंदी अर्थ और English translation

यजुर्वेद:
तेऽआ॒चर॑न्ती॒ सम॑नेव॒ योषा॑ मा॒तेव॑ पु॒त्रं बि॑भृतामु॒पस्थे॑। अप॒ शत्रू॑न् विध्यता संविदा॒नेऽआर्त्नी॑ऽइ॒मे वि॑ष्फु॒रन्ती॑ऽअ॒मित्रा॑न् ॥ (४१)
जैसे मां बेटे को गोद में लेती है, वैसे ही प्रत्यंचा बाण को धारण करती है. यह प्रत्यंचा समान मन वाली स्त्री जैसा आचरण करती है. यह डोरी शत्रुओं का संहार करे. यह डोरी झनझनाती हुई अमित्रों का विनाश करने की कृपा करे. (४१)
Just as the mother takes the son in her lap, so pratyancha holds the arrow. This pratyancha behaves like a woman with the same mind. This string should kill the enemies. May this string be pleased to destroy the tingling unfriendly. (41)
