अध्याय 35 → मंत्र 17 - संस्कृत मंत्र, हिंदी अर्थ और English translation

यजुर्वेद:
आयु॑ष्मानग्ने ह॒विषा॑ वृधा॒नो घृ॒तप्र॑तीको घृ॒तयो॑निरेधि।घृ॒तं पी॒त्वा मधु॒ चारु॒ गव्यं॑ पि॒तेव॑ पु॒त्रम॒भि र॑क्षतादि॒मान्त्स्वाहा॑ ॥ (१७)
हे अग्नि! आप हवि से बढ़ोतरी पाने बाले हैं. घी आप का मूल स्थान हैं. आप घी रूपी प्रतीक बाले हैं. आप सुंदर गायों का मधुर घी पी कर उसी प्रकार हम यजमान रूपी पुत्रों की रक्षा कीजिए, जैसे पिता पुत्र की रक्षा करता है. आप के लिए स्वाहा. (१७)
O agni! You are going to get a boost from the havi. Ghee is your native place. You are a symbol of ghee. You should drink the sweet ghee of beautiful cows and protect the sons of us host in the same way as the father protects the son. Swaha for you. (17)
