यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
उ॒शिग॑सि क॒विरङ्घा॑रिरसि॒ बम्भा॑रिरव॒स्यूर॑सि दुव॑स्वाञ्छु॒न्ध्यूर॑सि मार्जा॒लीयः॑। स॒म्राड॑सि कृ॒शानुः॑ परि॒षद्यो॑ऽसि॒ पव॑मानो॒ नभो॑ऽसि प्र॒तक्वा॑ मृ॒ष्टोऽसि हव्य॒सूद॑नऽऋ॒तधा॑मासि॒ स्वर्ज्योतिः ॥ (३२)
हे अग्नि! आप उशिक, कवि, शत्रुनाशक हैं. आप भरणपोषण कर्ता व अन्न की कामना करने बाले हैं. आप शुद्ध व पावक हैं. आप सम्राट् हैं, कृशानु हैं. आप सब ओर से यजमानों से घिरे हुए हैं. आप नभ व प्रदक्षिणा स्वरूप हैं. आप हवि को पकाने वाले, सत्य के धाम एवं स्वयं प्रकाशक हैं. (३२)
O agni! You are a ushik, a poet, an enemy destroyer. You are a sustenance and a food provider. You are pure and pure. You are the emperor, you are krishnanu. You are surrounded by hosts from all sides. You are the nature of the nava and circumambulation. You are the cook of havi, the abode of truth and the publisher yourself. (32)
