यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
अ॒ग्नेस्त॒नूर॑सि॒ विष्ण॑वे त्वा॒ सोम॑स्य त॒नूर॑सि॒ विष्ण॑वे॒ त्वा॒ऽति॑थेराति॒थ्यम॑सि॒ विष्ण॑वे त्वा श्ये॒नाय॑ त्वा सोम॒भृते॒ विष्ण॑वे त्वा॒ऽग्नये॑ त्वा रायस्पोष॒दे विष्ण॑वे त्वा ॥ (१)
हे अग्नि! आप धनदाता, समृद्धि देने वाले व संसार के पालक हैं. हम विष्णु व सोम के लिए आप को ग्रहण करते हैं. हे सोम! आप अग्नि जैसे और उन्हीं की तरह ऊर्जस्वी हैं. आप यज्ञ में आए मेहमानों का स्वागतसत्कार करते हैं. आप सोमरस को स्वर्ग से पृथ्वी पर लाने वाले श्येन पक्षी के समान हैं. (१)
O agni! You are the giver of wealth, prosperity and the guardian of the world. We accept you for Vishnu B Soma. O Mon! You are like agni and energetic like them. You welcome the guests who came to the yagna. You are like the Shyen bird bringing Somerus from heaven to earth. (1)
यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
अ॒ग्नेर्ज॒नित्र॑मसि॒ वृष॑णौ स्थऽउ॒र्वश्य॑स्या॒युर॑सि पुरू॒रवा॑ऽअसि। गा॒य॒त्रेण॑ त्वा॒ छन्द॑सा मन्थामि॒ त्रैष्टु॑भेन त्वा॒ छन्द॑सा मन्थामि॒ जाग॑तेन त्वा॒ छन्द॑सा मन्थामि ॥ (२)
हे शकल! आप अग्नि के जनिता (जनने वाले) हैं. आप वृषण (वीर्यवान) में स्थित हैं. आप उर्वशी (के समान) हैं. आप आयु (के समान) हैं. आप पुरूरवा (के समान) हैं. में गायत्री छंद के साथ आप का मंथन करता हूं. में त्रिष्टुप् छंद के साथ आप का मंथन करता हूं. में जगती छंद के साथ आप का मंथन करता हूं. (२)
This is it! You are the janita (born) of agni. You are located in the testis (semen). You are (similar to) Urvashi. You are (similar to) age. You are (similar to) Pururva. I churn you out with Gayatri verses. I churn you with trishtup verses. I churn you with jagati verses. (2)
यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
भव॑तं नः॒ सम॑नसौ॒ सचे॑तसावरे॒पसौ॑। मा य॒ज्ञꣳ हि॑ꣳसिष्टं॒ मा य॒ज्ञप॑तिं जातवेदसौ शि॒वौ भ॑वतम॒द्य नः॑ ॥ (३)
हे अग्नि! आप आलस्यरहित, समान व सावधान चित्त वाले हैं. आप हमारे यज्ञों में यजमानों की भी हिंसा मत होने दीजिए. आप यज्ञ के स्वामी हैं. आप आज से ही हमारा कल्याण करने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)
O agni! You are lazy, uniform and careful. Don't allow violence by hosts in our yagyas. You are the master of yajna. Please do our welfare from today. (3)
यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
अ॒ग्नाव॒ग्निश्च॑रति॒ प्रवि॑ष्ट॒ऽऋषी॑णां पु॒त्रोऽअ॑भिशस्ति॒पावा॑। स नः॑ स्यो॒नः सु॒यजा॑ यजे॒ह दे॒वेभ्यो॑ ह॒व्यꣳ सद॒मप्र॑युच्छ॒न्त्स्वाहा॑ ॥ (४)
हे यजमानो! आप ऋषियों के पुत्र जैसे हैं. अग्नि शाप से हमारी रक्षा करते हैं. अग्नि आह्वान के योग्य हैं. अग्नि यज्ञकुंड में प्रविष्ट हो चुके हैं. वे अग्नि हम पर कृपालु हों. हम देवताओं के लिए हवि प्रदान करते हैं. वे उस हवि को ग्रहण कर के उन देवताओं तक पहुंचाने की कृपा करों. (४)
O host! You are like the son of sages. Fire protects us from the curse. Fire is worthy of invocation. Agni has entered the yagnakund. May those agnis be kind to us. We provide havi for the gods. Please accept that spirit and convey it to those deities. (4)
यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
आप॑तये त्वा॒ परि॑पतये गृह्णामि॒ तनू॒नप्त्रे॑ शाक्व॒राय॒ शक्व॑न॒ऽओजि॑ष्ठाय। अना॑धृष्टमस्य-नाधृ॒ष्यं दे॒वाना॒मोजोऽन॑भिशस्त्यभिशस्ति॒पा॑ऽअ॑नभिशस्ते॒न्यमञ्ज॑सा स॒त्यमु॑पगेषꣳ स्वि॒ते मा॑ धाः ॥ (५)
हे अग्नि! हम यज्ञ कार्य के लिए आप को ग्रहण करते हैं. आप सर्वव्यापक हैं और ओजस्वी, सर्वसमर्थ, प्रशंसनीय घृणित (बुरे) कामों से हमारी रक्षा करते हैं. आप किसी को शाप नहीं देते. आप स्वयं भी अभिशप्त नहीं हैं. आप हमें सत्यमार्ग पर ले चलिए. आप हमारी बुद्धि को श्रेष्ठ कामों में लगाने की कृपा कीजिए. आप हमारे आधार व रक्षक हैं. (५)
O agni! We accept you for the yajna work. You are omnipresent and protect us from energetic, all-powerful, admirable abominable (evil) deeds. You don't curse anyone. You are not cursed yourself either. You take us on the path of truth. Please put our intellect into the best works. You are our base and protector. (5)
यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
अग्ने॑ व्रतपा॒स्त्वे व्र॑तपा॒ या तव॑ त॒नूरि॒यꣳ सा मयि॒ यो मम॑ त॒नूरे॒षा सा त्वयि॑। स॒ह नौ॑ व्रतपते व्र॒तान्यनु॑ मे दी॒क्षां दी॒क्षाप॑ति॒र्मन्य॑ता॒मनु॒ तप॒स्तप॑स्पतिः ॥ (६)
हे अग्नि! आप व्रत के पालनकर्ता हैं. आप का वह ब्रत पालन करने वाला शरीर हमारे साथ एकाकार हो जाए. हे व्रतपति अग्नि! ब्रतों का यजमान अनुकरण करने की कृपा करें. हम भी आप के साथ (आप जैसे) ब्रतपति हो जाएं. सोम दीक्षापति हैं. सोम दीक्षा के पालनहार हैं. उन से हम एकाकार हो जाएं. आप तप के स्वामी हैं. हम तप करने वाले हैं. (आप की कृपा से) हम आप से एकाकार हो जाएं. (६)
O agni! You are the follower of the fast. May that brat-rearing body of yours become one with us. O fasting agni! Please follow the host of the Brahmins. Let us also be bratpati with you (like you). Som is dikshapati. Som is the sustainer of initiation. Let us unite with them. You are the master of tenacity. We are going to meditate. (By your grace) let us unite with you. (6)
यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
अ॒ꣳशुर॑ꣳशुष्टे देव सो॒माप्या॑यता॒मिन्द्रा॑यैकधन॒विदे॑। आ तुभ्य॒मिन्द्रः॒ प्याय॑ता॒मा त्वमिन्द्रा॑य प्यायस्व। आप्या॑यया॒स्मान्त्सखी॑न्त्स॒न्न्या मे॒धया॑ स्व॒स्ति ते॑ देव सोम सु॒त्याम॑शीय। एष्टा॒ रायः॒ प्रेषे भगा॑यऽऋ॒तमृ॑तवा॒दिभ्यो॒ नमो॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वीभ्या॑म् ॥ (७)
हे सोम! आप की सोमबेल इंद्र के लिए बढ़ोतरी पाने की कृपा करे. इंद्र धन वेत्ता (जानने वाले) हैं. वे आप को पी कर तृप्त हों. आप उन के पीने (सेवन) के लिए बढ़ोतरी पाने की कृपा करें. आप अपने सखा यजमान को तृप्त करने की कृपा करें. सोम का कल्याण हो. हम अपनी मेधा (बुद्धि) से सोम हेतु किए जा रहे यज्ञ और इन स्तुतियों को शीघ्र पूरा करें. आप हमारे लिए इष्ट (प्रिय) धन भेजने की कृपा कीजिए. अग्नि की कृपा से हम सत्यवादी हों. इंद्र की कृपा से हम अमरता प्राप्त करें. हम स्वर्गलोक को नमन करते हैं. हम पृथ्वीलोक को नमन करते हैं. (७)
O Mon! Please get an increase for your Sombel Indra. Indra is a wealth vetta (knower). They should be satisfied by drinking you. Please get an increase for their drinking .. Please satisfy your friend host. May Som be well-being. Let us complete the yajna and these praises being done for Soma with our intellect (intellect) soon. Please send you the favored (dear) money for us. By the grace of agni, we should be truthful. May we attain immortality by the grace of Indra. We bow to heaven. We bow to the earth. (7)
यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
या ते॑ऽअग्नेऽयःश॒या त॒नूर्वर्षि॑ष्ठा गह्वरे॒ष्ठा। उ॒ग्रं वचो॒ऽअपा॑वधीत्त्वे॒षं वचो॒ऽअपा॑वधी॒त् स्वाहा॑। या ते॑ऽअग्ने रजःश॒या त॒नूर्वर्षि॑ष्ठा गह्वरे॒ष्ठा। उ॒ग्रं वचो॒ऽअपा॑वधीत्त्वे॒षं वचो॒ऽअपा॑वधी॒त् स्वाहा॑। या ते॑ऽअग्ने हरिश॒या त॒नूर्वर्षि॑ष्ठा गह्वरे॒ष्ठा। उ॒ग्रं वचो॒ऽअपा॑वधीत्त्वे॒षं वचो॒ऽअपा॑वधी॒त् स्वाहा॑ ॥ (८)
हे अग्नि! आप का शरीर लोहे व चांदी जैसा चमकीला है. आप का शरीर सोने जैसा सुनहरा है. आप के वचन उग्र हैं. आप मनोकामना पूरी करने वाले, गुफा व दुर्गम स्थान के वासी हैं. आप राक्षसों की कठोर आवाजों का नाश करने वाले एवं महिमावान हैं. आप गुफा हैं. आप के लिए आहुतियां भेंट करते हैं. (८)
O agni! Your body is as bright as iron and silver. Your body is golden like gold. Your words are furious. You are a devotee of a cave and a remote place. You are the destroyer and glorious of the harsh voices of demons. You are a cave. Let's offer sacrifices for you. (8)
