अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 6
अथ॑र्वाणो अबध्नताथर्व॒णा अ॑बध्नत । तैर्मे॒दिनो॒ अङ्गि॑रसो॒ दस्यू॑नां बिभिदुः॒ पुर॒स्तेन॒ त्वं द्वि॑ष॒तो ज॑हि ॥ (२०)
अथर्वा ऋषियों ने इस मणि को बांधा तथा उन की संतान आथर्वणों ने भी इस मणि को बांधा. उन की अर्थात्‌ अथर्वा ऋषियों और उन की संतान की सहायता से शक्तिशाली बने अंगिरा गोत्र वालों ने लुटेरों के नगरों का विनाश कर दिया. हे यजमान! इस मणि की सहायता से तू अपने शन्रुओं को मार. (२०)
