अथर्ववेद (कांड 10)
पू॒र्णात्पू॒र्णमुद॑चति पू॒र्णं पू॒र्णेन॑ सिच्यते । उ॒तो तद॒द्य वि॑द्याम॒ यत॒स्तत्प॑रिषि॒च्यते॑ ॥ (२९)
पूर्ण अर्थात् परमात्मा से ही पूर्ण अर्थात समस्त विश्व अलग होता है अर्थात् जन्म लेता है. उसी पूर्ण के द्वारा यह विश्व सिंचित होता है अर्थात् पालन किया जाता है. आज हम उस तत्त्व को जानें, जहां से वह सींचा जाता है अर्थात् जो इस विश्व का पालन करता है. (२९)
Purna means that the whole world is different from God, that is, it takes birth. Through the same whole, this world is irrigated, that is, it is followed. Today we know the principle from which it is watered, that is, the one who follows this world. (29)
