अथर्ववेद (कांड 12)
यस्यां॑ वृ॒क्षा वा॑नस्प॒त्या ध्रु॒वास्तिष्ठ॑न्ति वि॒श्वहा॑ । पृ॑थि॒वीं वि॒श्वधा॑यसं धृ॒ताम॒च्छाव॑दामसि ॥ (२७)
वनस्पतियां उत्पन्न करने वाले वृक्ष जिस भूमि पर अडिग रूप में खड़े रहते हैं, वे वृक्ष ओषधालय के रूप में सब की सेवा करते हैं. ऐसी धर्म आश्रिता पृथ्वी की हम स्तुति करते हैं. (२७)
The land on which the trees that produce vegetation stand firmly, they serve everyone as a tree dispenser. We praise such a dharma dependent earth. (27)
