ये इंद्र शक्तिशाली, धन संपन्न तथा सभी लोकों में श्रेष्ठ हैं. ये उत्पन्न होते ही शत्रु का वध करते हैं. इन के प्रकट होते ही इन की रक्षक शक्तियां शक्तिशालिनी बन जाती हैं. (४)
This Indra is powerful, rich and superior among all worlds. They kill the enemy as soon as they are born. As soon as they appear, their protective powers become powerful. (4)
स्थावर और जंगम जगत् ब्रह्म में लीन हो जाता है. शक्तिशाली शत्रु दासों को त्रास देता है. वेतन पाने वाले सैनिक युद्धों में इंद्र की ही प्रार्थना करते हैं. (५)
The stable and movable world becomes absorbed in Brahman. The powerful enemy scares the slaves. Salaried soldiers pray to Indra in wars. (5)
ये वीर जन्म के संस्कार तथा युद्ध की दीक्षा लेने के कारण त्रिजन्म अर्थात् तीन बार जन्म लेने वाले कहलाते हैं. इन वीरों को स्वादिष्ट पदार्थो वाला बनाओ. हे इंद्र! तुम इन वीरों में प्रवेश कर के संग्राम में तत्पर बनो. (६)
These heroes are called trijanma i.e. three-time takers due to the rites of birth and taking initiation of war. Make these heroes delicious. O Indra! You enter these heroes and be ready in the struggle. (6)
हे वीर इंद्र! तुम प्रत्येक युद्ध में धनों को जीतते हो. जो ब्राह्मण तुम्हारी स्तुति करें, उन्हें तुम शक्तिशाली बनाओ. जो पुरुष दूसरों के सुख के अवसर पर दुःख देते हैं, वे तुम्हें प्राप्त न हों. (७)
O Brave Indra! You win money in every war. Make the Brahmins who praise you powerful. Men who hurt on the occasion of the happiness of others, they should not be received by you. (7)
हे इंद्र! रणभूमि में हम तुम्हारे द्वारा ही अपने विरोधियों की हिंसा करते हैं. मैं अपने तप के द्वारा सिद्धि प्राप्त वचनों से तुम्हारे आयुधों को प्रेरित करता हूं तथा पक्षियों के समान वेग वाले तुम्हारे बाणों को तीक्ष्ण बनाता हूं. (८)
O Indra! In the battlefield, we commit violence against our opponents through you. I inspire your weapons with the words accomplished through my penance and sharpen your arrows with the same velocity as birds. (8)
